MissxLaine your definitely right, we shouldn't highlight only the torture suffered by BLACK people but torture suffered by all people. I just find it funny that whenever people begin talking about the transatlantic slave trade somebody always seems to mention Hitler & the Jews. As it's one in the same- and it isn't!

It's actually been proven that the Egyptians who built the pyramids were not slaves but did it for the 'love' of their rulers. What happened with Hilter & Jews wasn't slavery but more genocide- like for example what the British did to the Red Indians in America or what they did to Africans during they're eventual take over of South Africa.

The Egyptians now they are the real ones that were the worst in my opinion because they had them building monuments, and yes they got the whip and all that gloomy beating punishment also. But Blacks weren't in fields or in houses. They sure the fuck weren't building a pyramid. The thing is this, the African slave trade may have had the most slaves but they weren't treated the worse.

I know that Rome & Greece weren't either but do you remember the Egyptians? um and with Hitler and the Jews do you also remember that? Rome & Greece were just putting people into slavery for the most ludacris reasons, sometimes they didn't even have reasons.

So you see i understand the slaves were exported from Africa, alot of them atleast. Alot of what happened with that trade took place in Europe also though. That point is i do realize the different places that had partake in the slave trade but we weren't nessacarily talking about that. Anyway Rome & Greece may not have been an organized plan but people were ravaged for NO reason and thrown into slave labor, you need to realize that Blacks weren't the first to be put in Slavery.

Okay i realize that their profits were not only gained by selling these people but do you realize that four million africans were exported across the sea? I also don't you think the point of our conversation was over Kemeticlady created a victimized image for black people today. I don't think that is something to be doing especially because Blacks weren't the only ones in slavery.

I completely disagree but to the other point first. The slave trade in Africa existed for thousands of years. The first main route passed through the Sahara, tying in to the Arab slave trade. After the European Age of Exploration, African slaves became part of the Atlantic slave trade, from which comes the modern, Western conception of slavery as an institution of African-descended slaves and non-African slave owners.

Okay sellings African "kings"? We are talking about the slave trade and quite frankly it was black PEOPLE being sold into slavery and used for labor. The profit was from selling these blacks into slavery to other slaverowners and landowners whatever you would like to call those people. Where did you get anything about an African King because we weren't even talking about Africa, did you ever once see Mobidishu or King Taharqa mentioned?

MissxLaine after reading your earlier comment I've now realised you hardly know what your talking about. The profit wasn't only made from the selling of the African Kings as slaves, but the hundreds of years of free labour i.e. during sugar manufacturing & profits from this, the money made from the raping of Africa- even up to modern day with the subsequent money earned from the descendants of slaves who contribute the countries involved in the slave trades economy.
