1-i dont give a shit what other countries think of me, they can enjoy their shithole. What the world takes for granted is that the US does more for international & humanitarian aid, in any context, than any other continent.
2-the goal of any government system is to satisfy the people, and democracy does this the best by not alienating the people by imposing any ideologies on them. Are the people really satisfied in China? Only time will tell.

Democracy means whether most people like the government. I think most of the people are ok with the government because GDP increases like 11% each year. so, what else you are expecting? "Democracy" is not about being elected, but getting the policies, the ones that the people want, actually get put into effect. Thats not artificially pacifying the people, thats how a government should work; at least its better than having a government tell its people what they want whether they like it or not- thats fascism and the PRC should admit to it
