its moving them around as if it was an animation on the screen. thats why it constantly picks up the one and moves it around the circle because its simulating the second hand ticking around

Yes and no. For some, such as making circles with parts, a single equation is used to do all pieces. For the rest, yes, each location was preprogrammed.
