prwalton ::: Favorites pbcinla is dead on, Bush's speech is built upon the presumption that the audience will not see the simple fact that Iraq to 9/11 is not Japan to Pearl Harbor. nor is this occupation remotely like the Japanese occupation. the analogy is incompatible on so many different levels, and to promote this war using the (complex) successes of Japan's democratization is revolting.
