the rushie neocons will tell you that the mercenaries of blackwater and global warming are not related ... but they are ... the whole world is cutting back on fossil fuel usage ... except the blackwater rushie neocon govt in the largest fossil fuel user .. who can't find enough troops to fight for oil in iraq ... but i tell you ... black water cannot be given total immunity in iraq and the phony soldiers shouldn't have given the govt of iraq the finger when they were asked to leave

The "No True Scotsman" premise is a logical fallacy that is rejected by any critical thinker. That's all this is, that "No True Soldier" opposes the war, and therefore no one who opposes the war can be "A True Soldier". Here comes a soldier who opposes the war. "Well, then, he's no True Soldier." It has no meaning. Of course when the person making the fallacious argument can reach an audience of hundreds of millions, the people who do not recognize the fallacy can be persuaded by it.

This is blown way out of proportion. I'm anti-Rush and anti-Iraq war, but I don't think Rush is saying any soldier that is anti-war is phony. I believe he is saying the notion that a ton of soldiers are anti-war is a phony scenario. Sorta like when Bush has rah rah soldiers at his conferences. It's a phony representation of the army as well. If 900 soliders are pro Iraq war and 1 is anti-Iraq, the solider himself isn't phony but the weight he is given is, hence the term Phony Soldier.

Those on the left need to stop defending liars like Jessie Macbeth. THEN they would have a conscience.

Clearly, the implication is that only 'real' soldiers support the American occupation of Iraq and those who do not support the American occupation of Iraq are "phony soldiers". Too argue that Rush is referencing those who falsly claimed military service and/or awards is dishonest and reprehensible.

Too bad he's so UNFUNNY. I'll disagree with KO on that, "Propagandist Rush Limbaugh" would be closer to the truth.
