And here's a few reasons why... |

UnBeguiled ::: Favorites Anybody who looks at the retroviral DNA evidence and then denies common descent of chimps and humans is just simply denying reality. But I guess that's what religion has always been about. 07-08-29 23:13:05 _____________________________________________________
paleocrat ::: Favorites That presupposes empiricism. The question then would be: Can you empirically prove that anything and everything MUST be empirically proven? Run after that one. Hume did, and it forced him to say that every event was unique and that there was no justifiable reason to believe in uniformity or induction. Please scientifically prove laws of logic, abstractions, generalizations, the one and the many, etc. Have fun. 07-08-28 15:16:27 _____________________________________________________
Jkief123 ::: Favorites The main problem is this: If you cannot PROVE our origin from a supreme being by PROVING there is a creator scientifically and logically you MUST start with a simple explanation, such as evolution. When a creator is scientifically proven, only then can creationism be proven. 07-08-28 15:11:35 _____________________________________________________
philip1201 ::: Favorites 4. *experiment* 5. Results: the bacteria changed to fit the conditions, (blah, blah, blah) 6. Conclusion: Evolution exists 7. Discussion: *this is what we are doing now* 07-08-28 03:08:04 _____________________________________________________
philip1201 ::: Favorites There are no friggin things necessary for science. This is the scientific method: 1. Question: How did all creatures get to be what they are? 2. Hypothesis: Through evolution. 3. Descibing experiment: experiment = changing the conditions on bacteria, and see what happens through (blah blah blah), or just look in all the evidence in the past. 07-08-28 03:07:48 _____________________________________________________
philip1201 ::: Favorites They adapt through ... their DNA. That is the only thing that can adapt the way a virus/cell works. In a virus/creature population, there always is diversity. Therefore, there (most of the time) is a small amount of viruses which already are immune to a certain substance. Those viruses survive whilst all the others die. Now, diffirent kinds (shapes) of viruses often are diffirent because they work better. Those evolved through simple evolution. 07-08-28 03:00:30 _____________________________________________________
philip1201 ::: Favorites Mutation = permanent change. permanent change = good/bad. Bad changes die therefore mutation = good change. Good mutation stay, and become common. More mutations lead to more good changes, and eventually big good changes. Big good changes = evolution. 07-08-28 02:51:26 _____________________________________________________
aleebannister ::: Favorites Viruses don't evolve, they adapt to their environment. Adapting and evolving are not the same thing. 07-08-27 18:13:34 _____________________________________________________
aleebannister ::: Favorites Mutation = Evolution? How did you come up with that? 07-08-27 18:13:05 _____________________________________________________
