Rory and Jess almost have their first official first kiss but Luke walks in. Lorelai sees Luke and she has flashbacks of all they have been through. Rory and Jess share their first official kiss. Lorelai goes to see Luke and he just can't handle it anymore. He breaks up with her. She's heartbroken. Rory and Jess share a kiss at a party and Lane sees. She is upset about this because of her little crush on Jess and starts drinking beer after beer. She ends up very drunk. Luke tells Nicole about his break up with Loreali and she says there is still "you and me." Nicole even wants to start dating him, she asks Luke but we don't hear his response. When Rory and Lane run into Jess, Lane bolts off quickly and we see that it upsets her that Rory and Jess are together. Lorelai finally drops the bomb on Luke and he is left speechless.
